Moving house on the Sunshine Coast, done right
Moving is one of the most stressful things you can do. There's a lot that can go wrong: removalists who don't show up, vague quotes that blow out on the day, teams that rush and damage your belongings. Pickup Pals exists to be the opposite of that.
We cover full house and unit moves across the entire Sunshine Coast, from Caloundra in the south to Noosa in the north, and all suburbs in between. Whether you're moving from a two-bedroom unit in Mooloolaba or a four-bedroom house in Buderim, we'll give you an estimate upfront, show up on time and get it done carefully.
How the quote works
Every house move starts with an upfront estimate. House moves are priced by the hour, so we work out how long it will take. We base the hours on the size of the property, the volume and nature of your belongings, the distance between addresses and any access considerations at either end, like stairs, lifts, long carry distances or narrow driveways.
The estimate covers the drive out from our nearest base, loading at the old place, the drive between, unloading at the new one and the drive back, worked out from your item list and the access at each end. If move day turns up more than was on the list, or access is harder than described, the crew will stop and talk to you before any extra time, which is charged in 15-minute blocks at the rate in your quote. A complete item list, including the shed and the spare room, is the best way to keep the price where we quoted it.
Extra time, explained upfront: the extra-time rate is in your quote before you book: $55 per 15 minutes with two removalists, or $75 with the truck crew. No fuel fees, no booking fees and no hidden clauses.

House moves are priced by the hour, including GST, and you pay when the job is done. You get the estimate before you book.

Apartments, townhouses and units
Multi-storey living is common across the Sunshine Coast, and we're well set up for it. We handle apartment and unit moves with lifts, stairwells, tight car parks and body corporate access requirements as a routine part of our work. If your building has specific requirements, like dedicated lift bookings, time restrictions or loading dock rules, let us know when you enquire and we'll plan around them.
Townhouses with internal stairs, narrow driveways and courtyard access? No problem. We come prepared with the right gear and the right team size for your specific property.
What to expect on move day
- You'll get your arrival window by text the day before.
- The team arrives in that window, ready to work.
- We run through the plan with you before we start.
- We load everything carefully, with furniture wrapped and protected as needed.
- Everything is placed in the correct rooms at the new address, not left in a pile.
- We do a final check with you before we wrap up. Payment is only taken once you're happy.
Local and intrastate moves
Most of our house moves are local, between Sunshine Coast suburbs. But if you're moving from the Sunshine Coast to Brisbane, the Gold Coast or elsewhere in Queensland, we can quote on that too. Call us to discuss and we'll work out a price that makes sense for the distance involved.
