Every garage cleanout job we do is different, but there are a few situations that come up time and time again on the Sunshine Coast:
- Years of accumulated stuff: the slow build-up of things you meant to deal with but never did. Boxes, old tools, furniture that didn't make it inside, sporting equipment the kids have outgrown.
- Preparing to sell a property: buyers and agents want to see a clean, empty garage. We help vendors get there quickly and without fuss.
- Deceased estate clearances: a sensitive situation that we handle with care. We work with family members, executors or real estate agents to get the property ready.
- Post-renovation clean-ups: offcuts, old materials, broken fixtures and general builder's rubbish that needs to go before you can enjoy the finished space.
What We Take in a Garage Cleanout
The short answer: almost everything. Common items we remove in garage cleanouts include:
- Old tools, toolboxes and workshop equipment
- Furniture: couches, chairs, shelving units, bed frames
- Boxes and bags of miscellaneous household items
- Sporting equipment: bikes, kayaks, gym gear, golf clubs
- Whitegoods: fridges, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers
- Tyres (including car, bike and trailer tyres)
- Broken appliances and electronics
- Timber, offcuts and general construction materials
What We Can't Take
There are a few things that require specialist disposal and that we can't load. These include chemicals, paint tins, fuel, solvents, gas bottles, asbestos and other hazardous substances. If your garage has any of these items, we can advise on the right disposal options, but we won't be able to take them ourselves.
How It Works
Getting your garage cleaned out with Pickup Pals is straightforward:
- Get a quote: call us or fill in the online form, and add a few photos if you can. You'll have a price before we come.
- We arrive: one removalist in a ute for most garages, or two people when there's heavy furniture or whitegoods. We text you an arrival window the day before.
- We load everything: you point at what's going and we carry it out. Anything you're keeping stays put.
- Pay when it's done: card or cash on the day, nothing upfront. The tip fee is added at cost once we've been to the tip.
Garage cleanout prices
Garage cleanouts are priced by the load, the same as our rubbish removal. All prices include GST:

The tip fee is added at cost, with no markup, and we keep the tip receipt for every load if you'd like a copy. It depends on what's in the load and which facility takes it; our tip fees guide lists every council's charges. Saturdays are x1.5. Most garages we clear are a single ute load. If yours is packed with furniture that needs two people and the truck, we quote it on time at our removal rates instead.
